like any cat they belly crawl when they are sneaking up to something, not some standing and acting like nothing is going on, i think if he was approaching the area he would be a little more discreet then that.

It was a fake, photoshop job, someone earlier in the string supplied the link to the picture the cat came from, if I did this right this is the link:
http://cameratrapcodger.blogspot.com/2008/02/on-prowl.html
Was a cool story though, but like most on here I had my doubts, that is why I posted it.

Last year my buddy was hunting out of Sweet Home, OR and shot a nice 5x6 with his bow, right after he shot the bull a huge cat came running down the trail straight at him at about 30 yards, he had just enough time to draw his bow and nail it in the chest! I think the pic is fake too though, the cat would not stand like that!

NO! ITS REAL! Cougars can hover above the ground, and do it often....
I posted this too, didn't see this thread.

Have to go with fake! I noticed it looks like its off the ground and the side looks photoshoped. Would have to say the cat would be more focused on the hunter as well.

One of my friend's posted this pic via another friend who got this from a friend who's friend was the one who took this pic. (yeah right) I had to show them this thread and the other link's to just the trail cam pic. of just the cougar before it was photoshopped. Thought it was funny. So many people were commenting on how "real" it was. Boy are they gonna be disappointed!!!!!!
