Moccasin Joe Blacktail scent
« on: October 18, 2010, 03:44:25 PM »
Anybody use this before? Im hunting a really thick area that doesnt receive any pressure and im tryin to find a way to lure these BT bucks in. Ive never used scents before and I figured it could help with my rattling sequence. How long do you guys put out the scent before you hunt the area and how long until you put more scent out? I have no idea if the stuff even works so give me any feed back realting to it.

I've used other scents before...never that one. I usually spray it on the bottom of my boots when walking in to my area and try not to touch anything with my hands. One of the first times I did this I had two does cross the cut I walked in...when they hit my trail they stuck their heads to the ground and followed the scent right to the bottom of my stand. So I know it has worked before, unfortunately never had a buck come in b/c of the scent.

I used tinks 69 for whitetails and it worked like magic! Iv'e had bucks come running to my stand during the rut to look for that hot doe. I used to pour some on a rag that I would drag behind me while walking to my stand then I would take 35mm film canisters stuffed with cotton and pour some in there and scatter them around my stand.I would think that blacktail in heat urine should work the same as whitetail.
