Good luck to you & your son. I'm taking my youngest out tonight for his first shot for his first deer as well.

heading that way tomorrow with my 10 year old..
i have taken my two oldest over there and they have connected everytime over there.. lots of land to hunt.. i archery hunt the late season over there and so far several people have allowed my kids to hunt for deer when the same people wouldn't give permission for us during archery.. that is pretty good though to allow the kids to get a great chance for tagging one.. nothing hooks them more.. :IBCOOL:
good luck to all.

Short hair. What part of the eastside will you be in?  We might run into each other. I'll be taking my 12yr old son out Saturday. Leaving tomorrow night.

My first deer was also in the huckleberry unit and it was 15 years ago, I was 12. Funny thing is that I remember it like it was yesterday!
