Thats funny, I was out today scouting for the late archery and came across some really fresh rubs, and found a great bull not 30 yds from them. He had tore up 6 or 8 trees in a small area. Seemed like rutting behavior.

I watched a 320 bull mount a cow last weekend.

Was out in the nanuem hunting deer and came across some very vocal bulls and cows.  A couple spikes and a nice six point that was fired up.  Didnt have any calls with me but used my mouth only and had the cows and bull answering back.  Also on friday I was picking up my son in sedro after school and decided to drive out highway 20 and loop back through darrington.  At the wildlife viewing area their were forty or so elk out in the field and one of the bigger bulls was trying to mount a cow.  Had one of my mouth calls and let out a bugle.  he looked at me and gave me an earfull.

I've heard a few lately as well back up toward Roslyn/Ronald.  They're finally moving around a bit more than they had been it seems to me.
