Blues News from Mtncook
« on: October 26, 2010, 02:13:31 PM »
Big Bull season opened with a covering of snow, About 8 inches at Godman last night when I came down.

I know you guys need pictures, but you will hve to wait until I get them.  Sas just called and 2 bulls were killed from her
camp yesterday.  Our guided hunter had a booner and shot, the guide followed the shot. The hunter shot again only to kill a small bull that had been with the big guy, the guide is devastated.   The other news from that camp is that my daughter killed a 6X7 (her fisrt elk) with her husband using a rifle my dad had built for her.  Big story to follow on how all this came about.  Side note;;; my dad is recovering from brain cancer surgery 2 weeks ago.

I'll be busy with meat packing tomorrow.

Sounds like a great start to big bull season, other than the hunter shooting the small bull that was with the Booner.  Congrats to your daughter and hope your Dad does well.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.
You are never to old to learn something stupid.

Dad and the guys were nice enough to head out tomorrow morning to get camp setup. I will be heading over Thursday with a buddy. Can't wait, no pressure to shoot a smoker bull, just need a nice tender spike this year.
