Dayton bull tag
« on: October 27, 2010, 05:59:19 PM »
OK so i am 16 and i have a dayton bull tag. i was up there mon-wed saw a few nice bulls but thanks to the bad weather conditions came up empty on our stalks.its hard taking time off school for me but i will be back up there as soon as possible.I'm not looking for the biggest bull on the hillside but a nice respectable bull for this unit. so if anyone out there knows where one of these bulls are living are sees anything up there this weekend during general season please let me know. we are around Robinet Mtn.

Hang in there wait until general elk starts and then talk to the elk camps and see if anyone is seeing any good bulls.  It is hard right now..I know I have been there.  Remember to thank the camp..that is the elk hunting way..send your dad into town for a couple fifths of hootch!  :chuckle:  Good luck!

Can't hurt just make sure you don't give it to them. Never know when Jonny Law will pop up. Don't want you to have your trip ruin.

I don't think it's a case of "he doesn't know where to go. He said he's on Robinette which has plenty of bulls on it right now.

the bulls will be getting pushed around this weekend, just get a good vantage point and glass. If you find a big one that's not getting pushed, stick with him, The older bulls don't want to move much right now. Robinette is a great area to stick to. We were up there hunting and stuck with the same bull for 4 days. finally the weather let up just enough and he's in the back of a pickup now. He didn't move 400 yards in 4 days.

Good luck.

no the west boundary is Jasper Mtn Rd across the South Touchet.

I've got some buddies camped on Skyline right now trying to fill the same tag.
hey, where's Professor Chaos? Anyone seen him?

I agree!  It takes a good person to help somenone they don't know in filling a tag that they wish they could draw.
