scouting for late buck/coyote hunting

I'm looking for a good public place i can go dog hunting on the east side and do some scouting for late buck. I live in Tacoma so its one heck of a drive. any help from you guys would be appreciated.

I don't think it's legal to shoot dogs over here.  If you mean coyotes, than just point your finger at a map of eastern washington and find the closest public land.  They really are everywhere.

This may be true for the more experienced hunters. For me, replace "everywhere" with "anywhere".   

(I will allow as how I have seen at least old scat just about everywhere I've hunted, but have seen few dogs in my crosshairs, thus far.)

after a few years you'll be able to drive down the road and be able to tell what areas hold coyotes and what do not .
Kind of a sixth sense you develop after a few years of calling .

The best way is to think of them as any big game animal.  They need food, cover, water.  Find areas where they converge and start your scouting there.  Then adjust for all the variables such as hunting pressure, denning season, and disease.  All you can do is try to pick likely spots and then go there and find out if you are right.
