I finally purchased an e-caller. I got the Foxpro CS-24L. I wanted something with a TOA speaker, the ability to change sounds or load my own easily, and a remote. That pretty much narrowed it down to this or the Minaska. I am charging the batteries now. I never thought I woud cross over, but my jaw was getting to sore at the end of the day from cold-calling bear areas.
I'll need to do a few things to it...
Cover the outside so it doesn't clank like a frying pan. Rig up something so I can put handwarmer packets around the battery pouch, Figure out how I am going to hang it up off the ground.
Any other recommendations for getting the most out of this thing? I'll give you guys a report on it when I put it through its paces a little. I have hunted with friends that have had JS's WT's, and various FP models, so I have a little experience to draw some comparisons, but mainly I will tell you if it works properly, how loud it is, and the clarity of the sounds. I also got a 10w toa speaker so I can play stereo sounds. I'm looking forward to being a little lazier on stands.
