well.... my dog is trained enough to participate in a pheseant hunt.... he isnt perfect, but is able to get birds up in close enough distance to effectively shoot...
my grandfather is getting rather old, but LOVES pheseant hunting... he hasnt hunted in 25 years... he is getting into his mid-80s and only has a few years left... it would be a DREAM of mine to go on ONE hunt with him... we used to talk about hunting for years, but he never took me, and so far, nobody has, so i have had to learn everything on my own.... it would be a dream to be able to go out on a successful hunt with him....

i was wondering if anybody knows of a ranch/reserve/property/estate where it is EASY senior citizen friendly terain, that holds birds... and can produce at least a few birds in the air? preferably somewhere with in western washington.... just looking for an easy-sure-thing day hunt to make the old man smile.......

catch it. kill it. cook it. eat it.
Forget the bear spray, use wasp killer. Concentrated delivery stream, 10X the product, and only $3.00 on sale.

I smoke two fish in the morning, I smoke two fish at night, I smoke two fish in de afternoon makes me feel alright

well you have to pay but Cooke Canyon has 2 fields that I think would work well for Sr. Citizens. I was there a few weeks ago and there was an 82 year old hunting with his son and he had hunted two days in a row. They have a hay field that is really flat and easy to get to.

Scatter Creek would also be good on an off day. Release days there are 100 people there at once. But both field there are pretty easy fields and good parking lots.  You will need the WW permit which is $90.00 I don't know about the other release sites.

Good Luck and have fun

yeah, im a fisherman so TRUE days off are far and few... i cant rely on release dates as i have no way of officially planning.... it is easier to say i am going to go hunting on day X and X of month Y and to have a pre-set date that is 110% for sure.... i would rather pay to have a quality hunt than to chance getting skunked at a release site....

Oh I would say Cooke then. You make a reservation and go! Field to yourself and they have great stuff like an indoor bird cleaning station and dog wash and they provide everything. You have to be a member or connect with one. I'm there often and should be back in a few weeks. If you get skunked you can only blame your shooting!
