Greatree Archery
« on: November 12, 2010, 08:31:54 PM »
Anyone heard of this brand?  I'm thinking about giving a take-down recurve a try.  I'm seeing them sold new for $139.  I can't find any reviews on it.  Is it a POS?  I'm trying to go as affordable as possible while still buying something reliable.

Any other suggestions in that price range?  Or does anyone have a similar left hand bow they wouldn't mind parting with?

You can find a used good quality bow in great shape.

"is a sweat shooting bow"

I've never been around a bow that shot Sweat before. Seriously, for $139 you aren't going to get much. Your best bet is to buy a used one like NWWA says..... If you are looking for a "cheap" starter bow and dont want to shop used, check out Lancaster Archery...they have a website and will stand behind any product they sell.

"is a sweat shooting bow"

lol, I didn't pick up on that the first time I read it.  That's funny.  I'm not necessarily looking for something new.  Used is great.  I've been watching the ads on a few places but not the ones mentioned yet.  I would prefer a good used bow actually.  My criteria is a left-hand take down bow.  The cheapest I've seen so far new that seems reasonable is the PSE Coyote (any opinions on this one?)  so If I could find a decent used bow for around 100-200 I would be happy.  Most of the used bows I've seen with this criteria so far cost more then the PSE Coyote brand new but I will keep looking.  Please let me know if you come across anything.
