I'm getting sick of all the pheasant numbers dropping on the private land we hunt...The farmer told me the coyotes have been more plentiful this year than any other he can remember.

It seems to me that the coyotes are part of the problem with the pheasant numbers. I've never coyote hunted before and am looking for some pointers to help me bag some.

I've heard electronic calls are the way to go, but out here in western washington with mostly alphalpha, hay, corn, and tall grasses, are there special ways to hunt these dogs or simply set up the call and wait? Any pointers would be appreciated greatly!
