Make sure of your rules/regs
« on: November 18, 2010, 09:40:28 AM »
Saw a couple does this am in the N. sno.co. area. A rig stops, and starts to get his shotgun out. He says i was going to shoot the doe til i saw the fawn. I say its buck only. He says its any deer, i replied its not the 410 area, its buck only. They said thanks and drove away. could have been a costly mistake. The guy across the road was taking pics of my rig. This pissed me off, like i was casing his property out. I drove by to ask if its illegal to drive on the road, and look at the does? He says when everyone is driving back and forth, im protecting my property. I said its not your property across the street, and i was looking for a buck. Its hunting season til sunday. He states hunting is closed, and this is a bad area for theft. I said, i dont know anything about theft, im just looking for deer, and its open for any buck.
I had my bow, and he says oh its archery season, nope modern firearm.
I understood his thinking on the protection of his property, but man, im just looking for deer not a run down house with sh$@ all over his yard...

Keep in mind, its perfictly legal to hunt where we saw the does, i just like to use the Mathews if i can. I have the CWP for the 44 mag!
Paddle faster!!,,,,I hear banjo's!!!!

Good for helping someone else out. You didn't have to do that...That's what being a sportsman is all about.  As for the home owner.  I could see why he could be a little up tight.  But what can you do :dunno:
Aim small...miss small

you should have asked if you can park at his house, knowing he is there on guard to watch over your vehicle lol!

I went out the second day of modern season to get my trail camera's. When I got back in there a couple of guys where sitting on a log. I noticed that they both had rifle's. This area is in a firearms restricted area. I politely told them that the area was restricted. He tried to argue with me. I said okay fine. If you want the ticket keep on hunting. At that time I took off to fetch the camera's. Only to find out one was stolen.  :bash: I don't think it was these guys. So I turn around and head out. Sure enough the guys are gone. I ended up catching up with them on the road out. I guess he figured it would be better to be on the safe side. He was going to go and check out his regs.  :mor:
It's not the size of the trophy that make's it a trophy.

You may just be one person in this world. But you may be the world to just one person.
