nice buck real heavy. But you should really try and put out a bit more respect for the game you are hunting. the presentation of the photos is crap!! but good job on your hunt.

You watch to many hunting shows on TV. Hunting is what it is. You kill game & there is blood and guts. Disrespecting the game is when you road hunt all day, blast a deer off the road & call it hunting.

joebear's a guide in AK.  He sees a lot of that kind of stuff - A LONG WAY from where they park the plane with the tundra tires or skis.  Not to speak for him, but I think he just appreciates a good picture of the animal for the sake of respecting the animal, the fact that someone went out and shot it and, I believe, so will the hunter in a couple of years when he is remembering the hunt.  Anyway, he complimented the guy on a fine hunt and a good deer.

And I'll comment on the guy's hunt while I'm at it - Congrulations on a fine deer!  Good job; blacktails can be a tough hunt.

post the pic back up. Don't let the photo nazis on this site get to ya. Most of them are pretty fresh to the sport I think and the tv shows don't show gutting and such. 206ers, gotta love em!  :chuckle: Nice buck.

just making a generalization.....sorry. :chuckle: I know I felt pretty out numbered when I worked over there for a few months. Flew my George Bush flag proud though, and got a TON of *censored* for it....and one death threat.

Yep, that's right.  I'm a hippy.  With a 509 number.

But I do agree - you should put the photo back up.

What happened to his neck? Is that where you shot it?
You don't need a flatter shooting rifle or a larger caliber. What you need is good field marksmanship. Jeff Cooper.
