Montana Elk Hunt next Fall
« on: November 26, 2010, 10:24:20 AM »
Me and a buddy are planning an elk hunt in Montana next Fall. Can anyone recommend a good guide or ranch that's not too expensive.

DIY is the only way,  do the research and then do it on your own.  If your resourceful you can put together a great hunt.

I agree with Rhino, the elk are plentiful so if you get drawn put in the time and you will be rewarded

Might check the regs, there are no longer guaranteed tags through outfitters, so both of you getting drawn might be tough.

Yup.  If you were planning on getting guaranteed outfitter tags, they're gone.  If you need a good guide, I'd start with Bearpaw.
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
