i got this one opening morning mod riffle west side. he was feeding all alone when my buddy and i snuck up on him. my buddy seen him first and signaled back to me two fingers and hunched down so i slipped to my left to see as he crept over the ridge a bit. i thought he meant two bulls so when i saw the back one was legal i thought since there was 2 he would shoot the front one, knowing i could'nt see him. so i shoot the back one saw it was a good hit. then a few seconds later he shot. i ran up to him and said wheres the other one? he said "WHAT OTHER ONE YOU SHOT IT!!!!!" LOL well when he held up two fingers he meant he saw a split antler. so it was a team effort but i got the tag. he just laughed and said we need to work on our communication. its the biggest bull ive taken yet and my third yr in a row taggin out. ive been very lucky hunting and very lucky to have good friends. we did take one other bull in our camp so 2 elk for 3 hunters is pretty good in my book Mike

I learned a long time ago to be quick on the trigger, hunting with my old man.

Nice. What's especially great is that you and your buddy have the kind of relationship that your shooting first didn't cause anger or conflict. Your buddy's a keeper.
