Thank you snow
« on: November 24, 2010, 02:06:18 PM »
Was able to go out the last couple of days and do a lot of shooting.  This morning i got my first band ever! It was on a drake mallard, already looked into it, he's from alberta. Tagged in 07', thats an old ass bird. It sure is fun picking them up and seeing that jewelery.

Congrats on your band! That is very cool! I have one from St. Johns Newfoundland. I have no idea how that drake mallard made it from an eastern flyway out the the Pacific.  The closest one was banded in Ephrata.
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

Very nice. A few years back I shoot a greenhead that was banded in New York and was 9 years old. I can only imagine how many miles he traveled and all the territory that he saw.  :o
