That is absolutely rediculous... :o  Congrats on an amazing bull!

Ironically an elk cape can be worth $ if you can save it...speaking in reference to your comment about not having money to mount it.  I bet that bull had a really pretty cape, he's got that old bull "hump" on his snout.  Do you have any field pics you can share?

I was out there on the first of the month. Lots of elk are running around, just could not find a bull with 3 points or better. I bumped a couple of cows and a single spike. I'm glad to see someone is having good luck out there! Tomorrow I'll be poking my nose in the Lincon unit just trying to fill my deer tag!
Happy hunting all!

Nice bull, but if that's 330 then I shot a 400 this year :chuckle:. Not trying to take anything away from your bull it's nice but probably not close at all to 330. I would guess around 250 to 260. Congrats

I have only seen the same pic as you but 250-260. Where do you come up with that! Obviously you dont know how to score an elk. It may not score 330 but it will be a heck of a lot closer to 330 than 250. Lets see your "400" bull.

I have to agree with Romulus somewhat...I would say at least 300 before deductions.  I've killed a handful of mature Olympic Roosies that were at peak potential for our area and they were all at least 280 (and smaller than this one).  One of the biggest limiting factors for true rosies when it comes to scoring is tine length equally distributed across all tines, which does not seem to be the case for this bull (I'm guessing those eyeguards and thirds are at least 14 - 18").  Four more inches of tine length across 6 different tines obviously can move your total score 24"...thats pretty substantial.
