Duck boat
« on: December 02, 2010, 07:10:13 PM »
Hey guys I am looking at a alumacraft 14.7 jon boat and was wondering if 500 dollars for a boat and trailer is to much? The boat supposedly doesn't leak and it is super wide and the guy says it is very stable. Thoughts?

Depends on the condition of the trailer . I bought a 14ft john for 500$ and after putting a $2500 65hp jet on it and a $900 trailer my wife is not to pleased about my 500$  :)boat.
If you get it and want to put a 40hp jet on it I have an extra ill let go for cheap.

Either way you will love it I like being able to get away from the crowds.

Sounds like a good deal, IF anything is not perfect. I would walk away. They can turn into real money pits :chuckle: if they need work.

Sounds pretty good.  Have him ut it in the water and see if the water stays on the outside, the way we like, before you pony up the cash.
