After work shooting= Dinner
« on: December 02, 2010, 07:38:21 PM »
Grabbed the shotgun and my chessie Chief and took off from work a little early. Need to get that pup on as many birds as possible...  went to my favorite spot for a little pass shooting... As i was walking to the river i saw 3 mallards fly right by my spot.. Gimme ducks  :bash: Well i went and knelt down and had several swans fly right over me. (I bet they would make more than a meal) Just as shooting hrs were about to end a lone Green-head came right over me. One shot one kill! Chief piled into the river and brought him back... My favorite hunts are the short ones right after (or during) work.  ;) The best part about it was no pellet holes in the breast of the duck... just a broken wing and pellet to the head.   Nothing like a little duck asian wrap for dinner. Hoisen sauce and  Plum sauce!  I hope you all get to cut out a little early from work (or show up a little late and whack a couple!

Hunting this morning didn't quite turn out like i hoped... A brisk dip in the sound, Shot raining on my head from some fellow "Hunters" and water too deep to use my layout blind...   But boy do those spoonies  commit when they want to land!  Its not a green head but what the hell I ain't Scerd! :EAT: Still eating duck for lunch... Spoon Bill Tacos!
