I know this is not a plane, but I thought it was very interesting. While in the woods on a cliff, I watched a crew working on power lines. It was pretty neat to me to watch them from above including the helicopter. It looked like kind of dangerous work including the men in trams riding on the high power lines. I am sure they would love to have the whole series of pics that I have of them.

This is not a plane but it does relate. I took these up in Metlakatla, Alaska. They have an old abandoned air strip that was built for WWII.

Oh yea, that is just a standard issue max performance take off. Believe it or not, the Chinook is the fastest helicopter in the Army. It can cruise along at 170 knots (196mph) while the next fastest is the Apache at 192mph.

Some pictures I took at Maho beach in ST Martin this past week. The planes land right over your head. Some come in real low. Then when they take off they sand blast you. My kids and wife in the middle of the picture.
