My first hunting rig was a 74 Plymouth Duster painted game department green.  When your 16 beggers can't be choosers.

I saw a father/son combo with the teenage (or so) son hanging is barrel out the window. He had a short bipod on it as well. Look goofy as all get out, but yeah, I figured they were up to no good.

Was working my way into an area before daylight, fairly rough rutted up road, but my K5 with 32's was handling it fine. Here's this POS toyota car dead in the middle of the road. The young lad and his big girl had punched a hole in their oil pan and were stranded.

So they expected me to stop my hunt, and take them back to civilization! I thought that was funnier than hell. It would have cost me over an hour, and they were not in any danger. So I told them if they were still there when I got done hunting, I'd give them a ride out. A few hours later, I'm on my way out. They're still sitting in their car. So I let them climb into my blazer. I had a pack of cinamon rolls on the back seat, and I noticed the big girl couldn't keep her eyes off them. Finally she couldn't take it any more, and asked me if she could have one of those cinamon rolls. I obliged, but was thinking to myself- you gotta be kidding me.

I got them to civilization (paved roads and telephones) and told them this was as close to town as I was going. They started to give me a hard time for not taking them on in to town, etc. I was getting a little PO'd at this point. I just told them to get out, and consider themselves lucky I took them this far out of my way.

They probably came from a long line of social parasite "entitlists".
Step once, look twice...

My firt hunting rug was a 92 Plymouth Colt.  Some would be suprised where you can get into with a front wheel drive.  I have still never owned a 4x4.

Ran accross a father son out hunting in 09' in their wifes/moms newer model VW Bug.  They hit a rock in the road and put a big hole in there oil pan.  (BTKR . . .5000 x 5200 line).  Towed them back to a friends house about 10 miles away with my 2by Ranger.

My rig to get to hunting camp is a 94 Corsica.  Any meat has been in a cooler though, nothing wearing skin.

My first was a VW bug... Got my first deer by myself without dad around with it, stuffed it into the hood whole and and showed up at Dads place with it, needed help gutting it! We was home sick and I woke him, he gutted it in his bathrobe next to his house in Olympia....  :chuckle:
