Where the hell is all the elk movement in this gmu? Did they go back up high? Ive been all over in all the sweet spots i know and cant see any fresh sign what so ever. Only lots of deer and cougar sign.

I feel your pain!!!!! I'm wondering the same thing.  The only herd I've run into this year is on private property while driving to work....urgh. To add salt to wound I too am seeing lots of cougar sign.

Came upon a fresh deer kill last weekend...couldn't have been more than 2 hrs old...blood everywhere so i flip  over thinking someone stuck it with an arrow but there was no entry/exit would. I then picked up the head to notice a bite sized hole in the neck area and that's when it hit me> there was probably a cougar very close about to get pissed I was on his meal. The deer hadn't even hit rigor yet. A closer look revealed some good size tracks. Needles to say I know where I'll be calling cats this winter. :-)

oh yea, hunted 454 for bear this year and i could not believe the amount of cougar sign. but then again.....the amount of cougar sign in most areas i hunt is getting out of control. the new area i hunt around matlock is the worst yet....i found a cougar kill every day i was over there
