Still a little cool at night?

I think it my be a little to cool at night still for morels to pop up. Does anyone know?  I've seen a few false morels, but no actual morels yet. 
Work sucks!!!! I should be shed hunting

never heard of a false morel

my guess would be that is a Gaint Helvella, its definetly some type of Helvella. the only other Helvella though that it might be is the brain mushroom, but i'm almost positive its a giant Helvella, could be wrong too :dunno:

well just researched it, and it looks just like a false morel. never heard of them before though, glad i found that out though. from what i read they are very poisnous to eat

I think you are pretty close.

To me it looks like a Snowbank False Morel (Gyromitra gigas)

False Morels are Gyomitra esculenta
The Helvella that it resembles is Gyomitra californica

And yes, they can make you sick.
