May I ask what it cost these days to get a shoulder mount like that?  I am just curious what it's going to set back with the wife when I shoot a wall hanger lol.

All depends on who you choose. Some charge for the size of the bull you take, if they have to do modifications to the form, if you have it bugling, if you want a pedastal mount done.

I myself am 750.00 for an elk an extra hundred if you want it bugling,

Some are upwards of 1250.00 so when you get yours, do some homework, look at their work ask questions and then base your decision off of that.

One good thing about a taxidermist if you choose one far away is you only have to go there twice.

Prices sure are high over in that area.....
I'd make a trip over east and find a taxidermist.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

Many taxidermists east are between 650 and 1500 as well.  just depends on where you go and what you expect to get back.  There are a few on the affordable side that do a good job everywhere in the country.
