Have smoked in the past, but had some issues with maintaining the heat and keeping it regular temp wise. So decided nothing better than buying me my own Christmas Present.


Let the smoking begin.

Have fun. I find it very rewarding. Those Bradleys look nice. Let  us know how it works for you. I have a cheaper Masterbuilt, but it seems to work pretty good.

I have a bradly- works good but you have to check and make sure the biscuts are moving thru. They like to jam up every once in a while and don't make it into the smoker.

yeah, keeping the temp where you want it can be a pain with old school smokers... hell, this one guy I know from Texas, he "smokes" everything, but he just calls it BBQ... anyhow, he uses briquettes and when he is BBQing it is an event, an all day or 2 day deal where he tending to the briquettes and his temps constantly...

BUT oh man... his brisket is unreal....

I've had a Bradley for 8 years and have learned that the biscuits get stuck and sweat and then fall apart. The push bar isn't the best design. I now stack them 4 high and let them burn that way. Then I stack 4 more then just let it smoke until they are used up. I smoked a pork roast for 12 hrs doing it that way and it was great. Very easy to use after you learn the little quirks.

Thanks, I am getting ready to put an order in tomorrow for some buck board bacon and going to start off with that and then work my way up to some summer sausage. I will be calling you, and thanks so far for all the advice you have given.

LMAO - I just sold my two propanes

I just sold my last elec the other day, a brand new big chief. I had a heck of a time getting stuff done. The propane has worked the best for me. But to each there own I know the propane have saved me countless hours, on the hundreds of pounds i smoke each year If i was going to to buy another elec i would try a Bradley.
