I have a buddy with one.... He said he would have been better off with a revolver that can switch cylenders out between 22lr and 22mag... cheeper to shoot then hase more power if necessary.. I think ruger makes one.  :twocents:

I have a Taurus Tracker revolver in 17hmr, but I've never shot it.  I've heard they are very accurate.

The 17hmr is plenty powerful compared to any of the 22lr in my opinion.  However it is rather expensive to shoot comparatively.  For a pistol I'd prefer the 22lr.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.

I like the Ruger with the 22lr and 22Mag cylenders. Tack Drivers.

for the cost of ammo and the likely loss in velocity due to barrel length, I'd pass.
Prefer the 22lr/22mag combo as mentioned above

I think a 17hmr rifle is where you see the real performance differences in the calibers.... Fun to shoot yes! best bang for the buck? No..

The ruger pistols are the best bang for you buck by far.
You gonna draw those pistols or whistle Dixie?
