I killed my limit of phesants in 45 minutes today, my buddy too (6 total roosters) and I shot a banded greenhead today... i'll never say where though hahahahahahahahahahaaaaaa

Yakima valley
Yes, but the place we have for phesants holds an ungodly amount of them, I'm talking like South Dakota kind of stuff. Its the only place I have seen that has any population of phesants in the valley, I mean there are a few here and there, but this is the hotspot.

Well, then you sir have found a spot that I can only dream of! Ellensburg has no spots like that anymore. I'm sure that there are hotspots in yakima county and down in the southeast part of the state.

A buddy of mine hit 2 roosters in the canyon after the big snow. Must be a lot in there on the private land.
We got into them when we needed 4 more, and they were coming out like quail, it was amazing.

270shooter,

If you ever feel like doing some "charity work" and taking a "rookie" phesant hunting, I would be you man. You can even blind fold me, to hide the location if you feel comfortable with it  :chuckle: :chuckle :chuckle: :chuckle:

Yes, that statement leaves it wide open for interpataion and harrassment in many ways

:tung: Yeah, we have used the planted hunt club birds for training too.  :chuckle: Sometimes we had to throw them in the air to get them to fly! Some call it 'hunting' though...  ;)

If you really found a place that holds South Dakota type numbers you ought to more than willing to share with a few of your closest friends and anyone on this board :dunno:......South Dakota type numbers cannot possibly be hindered by the few people that actually read the upland bird threads  C'mon out with it.

They are 100% wild :). Its also private land too, not a club though.

I know a guy that lives on Bugle Ridge in E-Wa that has that kind of numbers around his place, but no one up there allows any hunting.

Been out to our honey hole twice, private land once, and come back with NOTHING all season. Usually we put down at least 2 or 3 birds between us each day. I'm switching to coyote hunting for the season.
