Anyone know where I can get a tester FOB in Western WA?  Preferably Seattle or north?  Thanks.

Where are you located?  I am in Bothell and have a tester you can try as well as maybe a spare lying around.

What about just some dimentions and I could build my own tester ??

I am in the office, so cannot measure one until later, but that is the OD you will be concerned with.

I have heard of people cutting 1" diameter circle out of card board and sliding it up and donw the arrow shaft to check clearances.  That would work.  Not as fancy as the clear tester FOB, but much cheaper..........

Just making your own tester does not mean you will actually what you are looking for. This is not meant to slight your abilities in any way, just a suggestion for your understanding and safety.

How about an 1 inch coupler PVC at the local hardware store.  They are 0.49    I'm not sure what a tester is other than thinking it might be to see if your system would work.  I'm sure its been suggested, but Pual ought to become a sponsor if he is looking to make money here.  You are a sponsor already, so I don't think there would be a problem with you marketting your materials, but he is a different story.  This is obviously up to Ray, but just a thought of potential problems.  Please don't think I am insulting you as you have been VERY supportive of this site, in many ways.

Paul stated on another thread that he is not trying to make money here. I know him and he is serious. He does however like to talk to people and help them understand FOB's. Paul spends much of his day talking to customers and will tell you he does not have time to spend on any particular site. He has designated me as a source of expertise but I am not close (Olympia) to all of you. I will do my utmost to help get you started if you are serious. As for the PVC, it would require a tight center hole that would slide up and down your shaft to ensure nothing touches it. The link I posted earlier is most informative. Archery Talk also has some articles on FOBs. Anyone that needs help can call me  360-451-7784. I have some samples and will do my best.

I would get a one inch PVC coupler .49 and some of that insulation in a can foam 1.99 and squirt it into the coupler, then after it dries drill out a hole about the size of your arrow and slide it on firm  Then see what happens.  or.... buy an FOB and see if it works.

I understand your concern but rest assured, you will never see me try and sell anything to anybody.  Just provide information and answer questions.  I am a paying sponsor on Archey Talk and even there, I NEVER try and sell anything.  Just info.

I hope to get KillBilly set up as a rep/dealer in your great state. As foplks here become more interested, this may be a good way to get the word out in Wasington with the help of KillBillly.
