Very nice buck!! Congrats Looks like it could be a Benchleg but thats a touchy word at times.  :chuckle: Still a nice buck and looks like he weighed a fair amount. Love the mass!! Looks more like a blacktail since you were on the west side of the cascades.

Buckhole, wonderful buck!  What side of the Cascade Crest?  For what it is worth, I know that the District Wildlife Bio. in Snohomish Co. took some samples from bucks like that which came back genetically as BT rather than recent generation mule deer crosses.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

WOW, that is a sweet buck. Even though you have been holding out on us, it's nice to see some fresh images and stories during the downtime.

Everything about those pics is awsome...scenery, mist, huge buck, huge smile...great job.  If that's a true BT you've ruined blacktail hunting for me...I'd have to kill 3 mature bucks out here on the Coast to have that many inches of tine :chuckle:

Awesome buck!!! great pictures.  And its nice to see some proof to there being blacktail in "muley" country.  I have seen some deer that i figured migrated into our area here in the entiat during the winter that were blacktail, or blacktail cross.  But had been told that there wasnt any of that over here.
