Subject: grouse seasons

I'd like to see the grouse seasons selectively (maybe by GMU or something) expanded earier in the year.

growing up, going camping/fishing with my father and bagging a grouse for dinner was one of my best memories. I think many people have similar memories and with targeted seasons (maybe like the high buck hunt?) could be something that is done in washington. Not as a go hunt for grouse type season but more a take a .22 camping with you season. I'm not sure of how exactly that would be worked out, but I'd appreciate any effort that could be made towards that end.

and wouldn't you know, got a response that seems (bolded part) to actually have been written to me.

Neat idea.  I would have liked to see a longer season than an increase in bag limit.  Right now I dont really target grouse or rabbits, they are more of an incidental hunt.  Glad you got a response, lets hope they dont see it as another way to make money off us.

I'd be happy with a one a day limit... I just want a grouse to go with my late summer campfires out in the hills.
