Interarms 30-06
« on: January 22, 2011, 02:18:59 PM »
I recently came upon one of these guns in pretty good condition and shot about a 1.5 inch group at 100 yards without a led sled... so pretty good shooting gun. The owner is looking to sell and I was just wondering what someone on here might be able to tell me what it is worth so we can make a fair transaction. :) It has an old 3x9 Bushnell Sharpshooter scope on it. Thanks for any insight...

Here are a few photos:

I am not opposed to golf, for I suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering deer.

im going to through out $300 as a high of what you could expect? I bought a 270 a long time ago for $250. The M98 action is really about the only positive thing to Interarms  :twocents:

Yeah, I think he was hoping for around $300 or a trade for either my win 1200 12 guage or rem 870 express 12 guage... I peeked on gunbroker and saw another interarms 30-06 for $400 with no bids and in worse condition. I'm still debating; it did shoot pretty well though.  :dunno:

I have shot a few of them in the Mark X action; 7mm, 25-06, 22-250, 30-06 and they all shot well.  We used to buy the barreled actions from interarms before Yugoslavia started having trouble and then we couldn't get them anymore.  $300 is probably a good place to start.

Pretty much what I was thinking too.
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

I would say $250-300 and they used to have a decent reputation. As mentioned built on Mauser action.

$300 would be a heck of deal for both you and the seller :twocents:

Thanks for the advice... they are kind of hard to research! The Mauser action is one of the positive features, and it does shoot pretty well. We just inherited a different 30-06 from my boyfriend's grandfather today so we probably do not need two... at least that's what I keep trying to tell myself  :chuckle:. I'll probably try to help him find a buyer but think I'll pass this time around.  :dunno:

If you liked it and it sounds like it shot well.... :dunno:, you could use a spare? Try and get it for around $250 and you would have a good deal!
