Trophy bonded tip v. nosler partiation

I'm debating between these two bullets, both in 180 grain for my moose load, can any of you guys familiar with ammo tell me what the main difference is between the two.  Thnks.

I can tell you the Partition will lose about 1/3 of its weight, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. But being that it's "only" a 30 caliber you're shooting, I'd go with the bullet that will retain more weight, which would be the Trophy Bonded. The Barnes tsx in either 165 or 168 would be an awesome choice as well, but apparently you don't like Barnes?

Haven't tried the Trophy Bonded, but I have used Nosler's Partition a number of times over the years on critters as big as a large bull elk. Have always gotten complete penetration and a real dead critter in short order. I've no problem with the Partition.

Also used the Barnes TSX the past few years from my .25-06 for mulies. A little 100 gr pill @ 3340 fps. It too gave complete penetration and helped me get two pretty good mulie bucks. I'd have no reservation with either the Partition or the Barnes, both have their quirks. Like the Nosler shedding weight and the Barnes fouling barrels. Still, they're both good hunting bullets.

Ridgerunner out of the two, I would go with the old partition. But A-frames and Norma Oryx bullets aren't bad either. The moose will die when shot with the partition.

I've had good luck with the TSX in a different gun but am thinking the 180 grain trophy bonded would give me a little extra omph over the 165 TSX that I can find in factory loads.  I really like the TSX though.

Both would be great. The Trophy Bonded is an outstanding bullet and being bonded will retain weight better. The Partition though, was THE bullet for many years. I'd shoot either but accuracy would be my main concern. Both have been very accurate for me.

I have used the partitions for many years.  They shoot well in my gun and have done the work on brown bear, moose, elk, mountain goat and many deer.  Haven't tried the others, figured why change?
