I got my dad a new rifle it is a Norinco mak-90 in a 7.62x39. He wants a scope for it. But he wants a real short scope like the red dot or a tactial scope. What would you guys recommend?

Little bit of both. I was thinking the NCstar it is a 2-7x32 and is like 8 inches long.
