narrowing down the options
« on: February 05, 2011, 07:29:59 PM »
 :)
Handgun: either the Springer XDM (9mm or 45) the 19 rounds in the 9mm kinda knock me out but 13 45's is bad azz!   or the Glock 19 I do not like the glock 45 it is too bag. right now the XDM has the edge. the glock is alot cheaper.

rifle: either 270 or 270 wsm, either Winchester Featherweight or Sako A7. (Sako and WSM getting edge right now)
I am shopping tomorrow with strong intent.

I've got a Springfield XD45.  You load it with 13 rounds of .45, and put 2 extra loaded clips on the othr side of your belt--you better be wearing suspenders!  I'd lots rather carry my FNX-9.  17+1 rounds of 9mm Hornadys.  Why would you need more?  The average expended rounds in a gunfight is 3.
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

I know its not one of your options but I like my .357 revolvers.  No matter how dirty they are, they always go bang when I pull the trigger.  As for the rifle, I like my .270 just fine but Im moving to a .300 WSM A-bolt this year.

:)thanks, Here is the deal, (I have  357's and 300wm) The rifle is cuz I want a new rifle.
the handgun. I carry 24/7 I have two identical Kimber 45's and all the junk that goes with them. I am going to retire soon and am frankly tired of carrying 10 lbs of crap all the time, I am tired of packing all weekend evening etc.
So my Kimbers are wortha lot of money and I am very attached to them, many times I will be carrying one but sometimes not. I have a safe built into my rig that I want to put a lower value gun in  and leave it there. hence the XDM/Glock, good guns but not near and dear or real expensive.
make any sense??
