Chances are that the Entiat will once again be one of the leaders in most applied for special permits. The results of this winters damage will be told for possible years to come. Hopefully the late spring doesn't contribute to this years mortality rate.

Hopefully we all stop talking about it (the Entiat) before every Tom, Dick and Harry decides to apply and/or hunt it! IMHO of course....

That's true Iceman, I have been hunting the Entiat for many years and have yet to see a legal buck in there, even before the three point minimum rule. Heck even the does around there are small and not super attractive, so most bucks won't even give it a thought during the rut. Also, every deer taken out of there has a funny taste and most aren't even edible. ;)

All joking aside I think there are a lot of good units in the state, and the Entiat can be very over rated.

You forget the Chelan CO units had bare southern slopes throughout most of the winter...  We got lucky this year while the rest of the state got hammered pretty hard...
