Got permission from a land owner here on the west side to hunt coyotes. we will see how it goes! i will post the outcome when i get back!!!

we made three stands and all we saw were tracks and crap. we have a good spot to go agAIN. MAYBE WE WILL HIT THEM UP NEXT WEEKEND!

I would give it at least two weeks, maybe longer. You never know if they busted you without you seeing them.

Now that you know the area you can develope a plan. You may look at alternate access, alternate stand locations and prevailing winds (and what the wind does when the weather changes).

Ivar and I made 4 stands; shot opportunities at 2 and one busted us while we were talking about the first coyote. Notice I did not say we got 2 dogs down! >:(  We each missed our shots. It was fun getting out and showing a friend some new hunting areas. It is more fun going out with someone else. At least we called some dogs in.

I saw one yote this morning on my way home. It was chasing a deer in a firearm restricted area, on a pipeline, but behind a no hunting sign.  :bash:
