Several hundred for sure. I wanted to say close to 1,000 if you count after the shot.  Thats alot though.   FIgure 60 days in the woods, seeing anywhere from 9-30 a day.......Just a guess.   I remember meeting Hornseeker for the first time in one of the most liberal English classes of all time at CWU.  I came back and told him how many bucks I had seen opening morning, and the next thing I know he was on his way up to the valley with me to kill his first Muley buck.   Those were good times.

My Brother and I passed on 56 bucks one time in Southest Idaho in one day! It was opening day and we had back packed in to the top of the mountain the day before. On opening day they just kept coming by. This was in the good old days (twenty five years ago) when this part of Idaho was full of deer. We passed on several that day that we should have taken. The next day we saw about 20 bucks and the third day we saw 3. My Bro ended up shooting a 27 inch buck that was a good buck but we had passed on 5 or 6 that were better. I ended up eating my tag that year so maybe this doesn't meet your criteria.

Depends one where I'm hunting, I probably passed between 150-200 bucks this season all told in Idaho, between archery season and rifle season, and killed a good 4point the last weekend.  Montana, I know I would probably say I might see anywhere between 200 and 500 bucks in a season, depending on if I make it to eastern Montana that year or not before killing a buck, or maybe after killing the one I wanted.  Here in WA, since starting to hunt here ten years ago, I probably see 30-50 bucks a year during the season.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

I wasn't bow hunting, but last year in Montana, I passed on at least 9 bucks I can recall while out hunting and saw over 100 other bucks just driving to the hunting areas we had scouted. In Washington, I've always been a meat hunter and will take the first two point or better blacktail I find, never have shot a spike, I've passed on a half dozen spike blacktail and a spike whitetail.

5 to 10 deer a year........but i also guide part time so if i counted all the bucks i see during that time it would be closer to bones figures........

But i love deer........more or less imortant for me to shoot a mature deer over a big horned deer.....there is a difference between a big 3 year deer and a mature 5 or 6 year deer......
