-Planning a weekend trip to the lake this month and was checking this site for some pointers! We will be set up to troll, plunk, and chuck spinners! Just dont know what to use where? Thanks for any pointers

Flat fish, spinners, rapalas. I fly fish and use streamers and wooly bugggers.

Not trying to thread-jack but why the fines for catch-and-release? I'm assuming it's because of possible hook damage and releasing fish that would eventually die and go to waste.

Just curious, I am almost an exclusive catch-and-release guy (I do keep the ones that I don't think will make it for the same reasons) and was just wondering what the logic was behind the regulation.

I may be wrong but I thought you could let them go with bait but it still counts as part of your limit.

I believe Button Nubbs is correct.  Once you release two (the limit) and keep fishing you are technically over the limit if fishing with bait.

Check out this site.  It's the one I use when I go down.  You can look at the time of year and see how they did and they have a bunch of bait choices.  I do know that the water needs to be moving through the dam for the fish (trout) to bite which I think is on weekdays(?).  Also, don't forget your walleye stuff.
