Anyone running a Rock River Coyote?

I saw 2 of them at the big gun show in portland yesterday. I really took a liking to them, there were 2 of them. The one had a skeleton stock on it and the other had a operator stock on it. I had another one/brand in mind. But I could not pull the trigger after looking at these two. My question is what stock do you have and do you like it? I was a little nervous about the foam on the skeleton stock holding up for me. So I was leaning towards the operator stock. Thoughts?

I've had a RRA Coyote Rifle for about 3 years now.  Haven't used it that much, so I can't report too much about it except that it's extremely accurate.  Mine's got the Ace skeleton stock, which was all they came with at the time.  The Operator Stock is a fairly new option.  The best thing about them is that they come with the 2-stage National Match trigger and Winter Trigger Guard.  If mine was the Coyote Carbine, I'd probably carry it more. The Rifle is longer and heavier, I think.  It also comes with the Hogue pistol grip.  Lots better than that cheap plastic "Military" grip.  I put Hogue grips on the three other AR lowers I have.

Thanks HDD! Just the kind of feedback I was looking for. I don't mind a little more weight. I like the 20" barrel, and it is a little more weight then the carbine. I really like the hogue grips and the trigger! + The textured front on the hogue float tube, is sweet!

In the same boat. Have been looking at the RR Coyote. Thinking of a 20' or I think they make an 18 " version too. Shot my buddies and very accurate.

I'd be interested in one if they chambered one in .204. I emailed  RRA months back and they said they had no future plans to do it though. RR is prob the only AR style rifle I'd be interested in though, they are pretty sweet.

Yeah I have never even shot one. Most of the brands out there I have a few K's rounds threw but not rock river. I kept going back and looking at them. The guy had a pretty good deal on them 2 But I still might be a able to get it a little cheaper If I decide to pick one up.   Glad I am hearing they are accurate as well. I have only seen the 16 and 20" listed. I will be making a few calls tomorrow when I get done with some setup for the show.

I've been looking a lot at this gun. Does anyone own or ever shot the RRA Predator Pursuit? I like the coyote carbine, but it looks like the predator pursuit comes with a nicer barrell for a cheaper price. Thoughts? FFL prices for the coyote rifle with 20" barrell is $965 from RRA.

I have the RRA Predator Pursuit.
I would have bought the Coyote, but didn't like the flash hider and the deal breaker is the Coyote comes with a 1/9 twist, I wanted 1/8 so I bought the Predator Pursuit.
I originally bought the 18" Varmint...too heavy for anything but bench rest...and it was amazing off the bench. 
Spectacular accuracy.
I got the same RRA accuracy guarantee with the Coyote and got a free upgrade to a chrome bolt and bolt carrier.
Haven't shot any serious precision ammo thru it but nearly an inch with plinker ammo shows promise.
The RRA two-stage trigger is worth the $.

DPMS and Sabre are the only ones listed in the Midway catalog for .204 uppers.  Big 10 shoots a .20 Tactical, which is a .223 necked down to .20 cal.  Not as painful to lose brass as it is to lose those expensive .204 cal. brass.  You have to order a custom barrel and build the upper, though.

Yeah, I saw those at the gun show also.  The only problem with the RRA Carbine, is if you get it for hunting you have to go with the 6.8mm SPC.  Unfortunately, RRA hasn't completely gone to the new SPC II specs.  They have the SPC II Chambering, but to get the best performance out of the rifle it needs a 1/11 or 1/12 twist, especially if you handload or use tactical/combat loads.  Otherwise you have too much chamber pressure.

Yeah, I just got the RRA 2011 catalog, and they list 6.8 SPC rifles, carbines, uppers, lowers, accessories, etc.  They only list them as having SPC II chambering, but 1 in 10 twist barrels.  That's probably what mine is, only I've had it a while, so it's probably not even SPC II chambering.
