Maybe you guys can help me out
« on: February 17, 2011, 08:11:11 AM »
I have some primo elk private property I'd like to help a friend lease out for this coming elk season and I'm not sure where I would place such an ad? Do I need to speak to a realtor/leasing agent or is it as simple as posting an ad in the paper?  Any help would be appreciated.

I understand if you don't want to say where it is located on an open forum but can you give us an estimate of what your looking to get for it. How many acres, how much per year. I would like to know how much a person should budget for something like this in a price per acre sort of way.

If it is a large track there are plenty of brokerages that will help orchestrate the lease. It's when you get into smaller parcels that you will have to go to craigslist or nickel savers. If you do list it yourself you will still want an attorney to set up the paperwork. There is a lot of liability when allowing others to access your land that you must dissolve yourself of first. Also proper legal forms aid in other areas like collecting unpaid dues.   :twocents:

Kind of a funny thing to offer up but would be cool if it was all true and real. I looked at his other posts and one asked about feeding deer and elk because "he" had a good elk lease.  :dunno:

It's not ok to post it here, but you can put it in the classifieds. Keep in mind that it's not an auction site so a price for the lease would be good to have.
