Reloading the wsm family.
« on: May 14, 2008, 04:10:19 PM »
Anyone had luck with any specific sites which have good reloading info for the WSM family of cartridges.  I have not had much luck finding much for info on duplicating factory ballistics with reloading the 220gr bullets for my 325wsm.  Love the gun and the way it shoots the 220gr WW powerpoints, but definitely feel the need to step up to a better quality bullets and want to stay with the 220gr bullets, hell they are why I bought the gun.  Anyway, if anyone has any good charts or info on web sites with good info, I would appreciate it.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

You might try the Hodgdon website:  http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp

Here is one load they show:
220 GR. SFT SP  Hodgdon  H414  0.323"  2.845"  58.0  2557  57,100 PSI  61.5  2669  63,200 PSI
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

If you can't find any info, pick your bullet start out where you know it is safe and work up until you start to see some pressure signs.  I have had to do this with a few odd calibers, has worked out so far for me, knock on wood.
