Sick bull shed 1 side
« on: March 04, 2011, 07:28:54 PM »
This 6x6 bull was pretty sick- he was skinny and blind in one eye.  He was spotted last night, and was still able to get around a little, but this morning he wasn't able to get up so he had to be put down.  He's a little small to have shed already, I'm guessing he shed the one side because he was so sick.  After he was put down the antler that was still attached held on tight!  It's amazing how those things hang on forever unless that seal breaks.  It won't even budge!

Are we gonna find out why he is in the back of the truck?
I could use a few steaks!

The local Game Warden came out and put him down, it's in his truck.  It was really skinny, I'm guessing the meat was pretty nasty!

Is the game department going to try and find out what was wrong with it.  The winter wasn't that bad so I would guess that he wasn't starving to death.

He had an infection from an injury.  Some other bulls were taken in that same area about 3 weeks prior, so maybe this one was wounded then.
