Trillium Land Trust meeting Whidbey Island
« on: March 08, 2011, 12:20:41 PM »
I got invited to a meeting in regards to the use of this property here on Whidbey Island,  this is 600+ acres of now public land.  Not sure what the agenda is for the meeting yet but here is the email I received in regards to attending the meeting:

Invitation to participate in a focus group for hunters with interest in the Trillium Community Forest.

The Whidbey Camano Land Trust is developing a management plan for the Trillium Community Forest.  We invite you to be part of this planning process by participating in a focus group for hunters to be held on March 31, from 6-8 pm at Greenbank Farm in Barn C, Room 203 (the last red barn building near the end of the Farm’s parking lot).

We have invited about ten hunters to this meeting that will be facilitated by Todd Peterson. A member of the Land Trust’s executive committee, Todd will be asking a number of key questions. Your answers will provide valuable information and insight. We plan to meet with six groups, each with a specific user focus.  Although there will be many other opportunities to comment (including an invitation for written comment on our website and a public workshop on May 12th), your participation in this focus group will give you a special opportunity to help guide the future use and management of this wonderful community resource.

Please note that this is a personal invitation to you so please do not bring a guest.  If you know of someone you think should also be invited to the meeting, contact me in case there might be an available space.

As a thank you for your time and help, we will provide you with refreshments and a summary of the information provided by you and others in this focus group.

I hope you can join us.  Please RSVP by responding to this email or by calling the office.  Thank you for your ongoing support of land conservation on Whidbey Island and of the Trillium Community Forest. I look forward to your positive response.

If anyone has questions regarding this please PM me and I will present them at the meeting,
"Don't argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience."
