River?

I thought there was some pics on here of a couple fish from there in the last few days.

That would be the Clearwater River. The Southfork blew out last week and made the main river pretty murky but there were still guys out fishing around and still catching some fish in the clean water coming out of the northfork but as of monday it was fishable according to one of my buddies who lives up in Lenore.

I dont know, but was curious, doesn't the high alkali content keep it from freezing ?
I have only fished it a couple times, prefer Omak and Grimes for Lahontans, I catch bigger fish, although not as many.....

I gotta try Omak and Grimes sometime.
I don't know how solid the alkaline lakes would be ( they do freeze), but if there is a crust on top, would be difficult to get a chironomid down

Lenore definitely freezes up. I grew up in Ephrata and if the other lakes freeze so does Lenore. Unfortunatly, we haven't been up that way for a while, so I don't know if it is frozen now.

Got to be a foot of ice on there.

I drove by  on the 20th and only the Soap Lake side of Lenore was frozen. The other end was cleared up. The ice that was on the one end looked pretty thin too.

Lake Lenore was a hoot back in the day when the cutthroats were big and ice fishing was allowed.
