Unfortunately, (from what I have heard) just like Jackson Hole, most of the residents are wealthy California transplants who detest the idea of anyone killing such a "magnificent creature".  They love them until their landscaping is eaten down to the ground time and time again, then they want the po-lice or Fish and Game to relocate them.
