I am looking at the smoker-craft Alaskan 15 foot aluminum boat. Does anyone here have one? How do you like it? Also looking to here info on other comparable boats like the smoker-craft Alaskan. Thanks

They are nice little boats. I fished a lot from one when I was younger "like 10 years ago"

I ran that exact model from '97-03,then sold it to my brother and he ran it for another couple years. Beat the shiat out of it fishing all over the state. Sound,Straits,Columbia,all over Eastern Wa. I even towed my cousin on an innertube behind it.

25HP Yamaha was perfect. Plenty of power for 3 guys and would run for days on 6 gallons of gas.

Friend has a 16 Ft. Alaskan and he can really load up the gear and kyds!  Good boat with good freeboard.

i just picked up a 15 alaskan with an open floor(just like the one in the picture but has 2 shelves(i imagine they support the sides) in the back instead of a bench seat.  it's got a 40 yamaha with a pump on it, zippy little rig for the rivers.

i've also got a 13' alaskan that i bought 9 years ago.  best $800 i've ever spent!  i've fished all kinds of lakes, puget sound, chehalis river and the strait out of that thing.

I also have a 13 ft Alaskan, it has been a great boat but that extra 2 ft to 15 and the SS layout (open middle) would make a world of difference room.
