Slide Fire - AR15 Bump Fire Device
« on: March 30, 2011, 08:44:08 AM »
Have any of you guys seen this new stock that simulates auto fire for an AR15? I cant believe the ATF has allowed this, I'm sure it will get the hook before to long. Looks pretty cool actually!  But I dont know if its $369 worth of cool though! :chuckle: Check out the video and the full article at http://www.gunsamerica.com/blog/slide-fire-solutions-ssar-15-bump-fire-device-ar-15/

A couple years ago there was a 10-22 stock that did the same thing. The ATF shut them down and tried to track down the owners to get them back.If it really works it isn't legal. :twocents:

Yeah, I think that is the Akins device they are talking about in the article. Says at 1st ATF approved them then rescinded, contacted all owners and wanted them sent back and confirmed inoperable. Apparently this device was approved in prototype and then again before general sale and comes with an ATF letter. But I cant believe it will be allowed for long. Once the anti-gunners get wind of it they will have their panties in a twist! It looks like fun, for about 30mins, then I think I would be done with it. Cant see any real need for one for but that doesnt neccessarily mean I think it should be banned either. I wouldnt spend $350 on one for sure but I'd love to play it and burn thru about 500rds of some cheap Russian ammo!  :chuckle:

Well it only fires one shot for each pull of the trigger, just does it as a real fast bumpfire.  So maybe it's not technically full auto but I don't think I'd wanna find out from ATF... :bdid:

It does look fun though, minus the threat of jail time...
