Co-workers saw it this morning as well. Estimated close to 2k birds stretched over the Wenatchee Valley. Seen a group of specs out at the Quincy Lakes on Saturday.
Here's some tracking info from one of my other sites, where they have been using satalite tracking devices on a few of the geese. At least 5 of our satellite transmitters are sending locations from Canada and Alaska. So far the birds seem to be choosing a route through the Okanogan Valley to central B.C., then cutting over to the coast up towards Alaska. In a surprise move, #72, who last transmitted from a southerly location near Umatilla, OR, showed up in central B.C. near #69, and #71. #65 transmitted from the Anchorage/Palmer area last night. (Note: the times shown on the map are GMT, 8 clock hours ahead of Anchorage during daylight savings.) Four of the subjects last transmitted from the Columbia Basin, and one (purple, #74) has not transmitted since November.
