missed the opener today! bummer!! but headin out tomorrow in yakima county tomorrow where i always see birds doing all kinds of hunting and photography,just wondering how others faired today and their opinions on yakima county harvests! p.s. goldendale on sunday and that always produces a bird!

Ya im headin out tomorrow in the same co. When i get off work tomorrow mornin. But instead of the same spot where i see em, im goin lower n try that, but plannin n a couple weeks goin to the klick area. But yakima co harvests pretty much says on the 2009 harvest reports, crappy.

I think it's because of the private land that the turkeys seem to hang in this time of year. I'm heading out Sunday to try my luck

sorry to thread jack but, I seen quite a few turkeys up on Bald Mountain this past deer season..  Can you hunt them up there yet??? 
I kill elk and eat elk, when I'm not, I'm thinking about killing elk and eating elk.

Lol gasman... well rtspring question is if we can get up there yet, i havnt been in that area since last year but ive seen by tieton pond n the bethal unit and towards mud flats n the observatory area n the wenas valley. But ya demon i think ur right on private or game areas like oak creek.

Yea it's been my experience that they are where you can't go yet or on land you can't get access to. Once the areas open they seem to move away from those areas too.

never hunted turkey in my life.. i may someday.......

I just know they put some up there a few years back and was wondering if the turkey hunters can hunt them..... 
they sure did ruin the deer numbers up there......used ot be my favorite spot.......
