So...kind of a side topic, but what tree squirrel is ruining my treestand hunting in spokane and stevens counties, cause if I can thin a few of them out I will.  Damn boogers will not shut up!   :mgun:  :chuckle:

If they "whistle" to talk to each other, those are the ones. We also call them "whistle pigs". They are out from April-May to September. They go into hibernation then.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

When I lived near Boise everyone called them whistle pigs too.Had a lot of fun days shooting them.

So im assuming the grey colored squirrels that you see in the orachards?sage brush country around yakima/selah are the california ground squirrel and u can hunt them? Correct me if im wrong.

It works out pretty well I should have shot two coyotes today that where cruising where I normaly wack squirrels. But for some reason I let them live another day.

They were out hot and heavy today. 50 rounds through the Rock River out to 350 yards. Most were warning shots just to let them know I'd be back.... :chuckle:
